SquareUp Payment Integrations with DigitalSalesQRCodes(TM) for Retailers

Square is an application and device that allows companies to accept credit card payments using an iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch with WiFi connection or Android device.  The app is available for free via iTunes App Store for your iOS device or through the Android Marketfor your Android device.

The service allows businesses (small and large) to accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover cards.  There are no contracts or monthly fees to use the service.  There is a charge of 2.75%  per transacti0n when there is a card present.  When there is no card present and/or you need to manually enter in the credit card number, there is a charge of 3.5% + 15¢ per transaction.  Compare that to Paypal’s fees of 2.9% + 30¢ per transaction and to these credit card fees published by Credit Card Processing Review:

To get started you simply download the application to your device and sign up for the service.  Square will then send you the credit card reader in the mail for free.   You attach the reader to your phone or tablet through a 3.5 mm headphone jack.  The application will recognize the attached dongle and you’re ready to go!

To receive the funds you enter in your bank account onto the Square Up website.  The service will link up your bank account to your Square account through a verification process where they make two deposits into your bank account.  You will then have to verify those transactions by entering the information into your Square account.
